6.2 magnitude quake hits Davao del Sur–Phivolcs

MANILA, Philippines — A 6.2 magnitude quake hit Davao del Sur Saturday noon with aftershocks expected.
The tremor was recorded at 12:37 p.m., 30 kilometers northeast of Sarangani, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
Intensity IV was felt in Mati and Taragona, Davao Oriental; Intensity III in Davao City; Intensity II in General Santos City, Butuan City and Malaybalay, Bukidnon.
The tectonic quake had a depth of 100 kilometers, Phivolcs said.
There were no immediate damages recorded.
