4 wounded as bomb explodes in Lanao Norte town

ILIGAN CITY, Philippines — Four persons were wounded when a bomb exploded in Tubod town in Lanao del Norte on Monday morning.

Lt. Col. Romulo Manuel, chief of the 35th Infantry Battalion, said they were still determining what type of bomb exploded in front of the Ysmael Restaurant in downtown Tubod.

The bomb was hidden in a U box of a motorcycle parked near a pick-up truck owned by a man said to be a politician but the police said they were still ascertaining who the pick-up truck owner was, as of this posting.

The wounded were brought to the provincial hospital in Baroy town.

The police’s Scene of the Crime Operatives and Explosive Ordnance Team found nails at the blast site.
