Senate to summon former First Gentleman Arroyo

MANILA, Philippines — The Senate blue ribbon committee will summon former First Gentleman Jose Miguel Arroyo in its next hearing in the allegedly anomalous purchase of second-hand helicopters to the Philippine National Police.

It was Senator Panfilo Lacson, who moved to have Arroyo invited in the next hearing of the committee.

Archibald Legaspi Po, president of Lionair Incorporated, and Hilario De Vera, president of the Manila Aerospace Trading (Maptra) implicated Arroyo in the transaction.
