MANILA, Philippines—Mandaluyong City police chief, Senior Superintendent Florendo Quibuyen, said Tuesday his team is set to hold security drills so as to ascertain the division of work in a particular police operation.

“Titignan kung gaano katagal o kabilis ang aming responde; para malaman natin mga pwesto naming; sino tatawagan; sino dapat rumesponde; sino dapat mangalaga sa ganitong area,” Quibuyen said in an interview with Radyo Inquirer 990AM following the robbery at two jewelry stores inside SM Megamall over the weekend.

(We will see how long our response will take so we would have a picture of the deployment, who should be called, who should be fielded, who should man a particular area.)

He said the manner by how police operations are being done depend on the situation in the area, as police authorities still have to make assessments on what is happening, and also as to give security personnel the chance to do their job first.
