No one knew what happened? We have a sleeping police force.

The security force at Megamall should be fired and replaced!

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_WC2VPZRJETRO5KOU4VOZCJXEDY Tamarindwalk

How is it that mall security failed to take the gun away from this person when he entered Megamall?  Those security are paid to keep us safe from things like this!

anong klaseng gun ban mayroon tau…

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/5TENDBNOVQRJEKFPV76D2N4XUM Socorro

We are on a gun ban and yet, there are a lot of gun related incidents all over the country.now what do the gun advocates had to say about this? Gun owners should never, never be allowed to carry guns outside their houses because anytime they may be tempted to use it. This should be implemented even after the COMELEC gun ban.But then they have our president as their model di ba?

  • http://profile.yahoo.com/4DXCN46UGDLGUQK452HKFEHKWM royce

  • xoxo444

i agree with ms. Kaithleen. i respect manong ang manang guards, i dont look down on them kasi disente ang trabaho nila yun nga lang ang mga guard sa sm puro porma at yabang lang, tapos kapag napagtripan kpla nila lalo na kung foreigner o muka kang foreigner eh kahit yung pinakasilok ng bag mo e titignan. wag naman po sana tayong pasikat lang. kung ganyan lang din mas mabuti pa  na wag na maglagay ng guards sa entrance kasi nagcacause lang sila ng delay sa pagpasok ng tao sa mall lalo na kapag nagkkwentuhan and nagbbiruan lang sila on the job plus less expenses pa. PLEASE BE MORE RESPONSIBLE AND TAKE YOUR JOBS SERIOUSLY.

  • regd

Whydto people always jump the gun? It might just be fireworks?

    • Jane Tan

I think that’s worse lol… could start an indoor fire in a mall.

After murder incidents, robbery naman ngayon inside a mall. Paging Interior Secretary Mar Roxas.

  • Guest

  • Guest

Yung mall is just few meters away from PNP headquarters pero hindi agad
nakapag-respond ang pulis. Anong klaseng PNP meron tayo Sec. Roxas?

    • batangsulpok

  • apojay

Walang pinalabas na detalye.   Mayaman at makapangyarihan kaya ang may gawa?

  • http://twitter.com/japsquarterback Japs Hampac

  • http://pinoy-politics.blogspot.com Monsi Serrano

Magaling ang PR ng SM, this should have been a public interest and yet only 5 media outfits have a news here. Alam ko grabe magpayola ang SM. The same thing happened in robbery holdup in SM Dasmarinas last Sept. 2006. Sino ang naambunan? Sino ang nagkapera para patayin ang news? Nakakalungkot that this story was not published by others. Only Inquirer, PhiStar, ABS-CBN, RAPPLER and Yahoo brought up the news?

    • Borogol

..SM needs to block the negative news, as it can affect their company in many way.

since poor security is evident here, i think some people will shun SM thinking they have greater risk to be involved in such gunfire/accidents, worst could be bombing.

so, if there are few mall visitors, there would be less customers, yeilding to less sales…
that drop in income will even yield to poor sales, and investors would feel scared that they lose money/opportunity into investing SM would either pull out their investments or avoid it if not currently holding some investments (SM).

…not only SM do that, most company here in Philippines do.

      • http://pinoy-politics.blogspot.com Monsi Serrano

Ayala never got involved in a news blackout. It’s a company’s culture’s issue if you understand what I mean. :-) Mind you the Sys bragged that they’re the richest businessmen in the Phils, but do you know that Mike Enriquez paid more taxes than Henry Sy? Ganyan ang SM. I will guess that you are employed by SM dude.

Behind them are owners and CEOs of conglomerates: San Miguel Corp. Chair and CEO Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco Jr., with P18.98 million tax (No. 13); PLDT Chair and Meralco CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan, with P18.55 million (No. 14); former Meralco President Manolo Lo-pez, P17.49 million (No. 16); Unionbank Chair and CEO Justo Aboitiz Ortiz, P15.2 million (No. 19); and SMC President and Petron CEO Ramon S. Ang, P14.85 million (No. 20). Trailing them are ePLDT and TV5 CEO Ray Espinosa, P12.27 million (No. 22) and GMA Network and dzBB broadcaster Mike Enriquez, P11.94 million (No. 23). This makes Enriquez the country’s highest paid media-man. He finds it funny, if not ridiculous, that he paid more taxes than the owners of the two largest TV stations. “That means I pay the correct taxes,” he notes. His channel 7 colleague, Mel Tiangco, is No. 45 with P8.9 million in income taxes paid. That makes her the highest paid female broadcaster.

Ayon, dahil under investigation pa, wala tuloy siyang masulat.

RED HERRING TO CATCH A THIEF

Meanwhile, to catch these thieves, the police should feed media with confusing reports as to the identities of the suspect and what it plans to do to catch them. They can tell media that the these criminalS are seen fleeing to the North or South though they know they are still in Metro Manila; or say that they are hiding in Metro Manila though they have received reliable information that the suspect have fled to the Nort or the South. Or claim they are mostly middle-aged though in fact they are young past their fifties,  etc.

Such intentionally wrong signals will make the suspects confused and/or complacent until the police corner them for good. As it is, in its desire to impress the public, the PNP is unwittingly giving tips to the heist men by feeding media detailed and confidential police intelligence- which is not at all an intelligent move.

Election season na kaya kailangan ng pondo.

bakit ganuon maraming gwardya  at may sa pinto. kun may gulo at holdap kelangan . close all exit and door .sarado lahat ng pinto. para masala ang mga tao na lalabas.

“The police official refused to provide further details”… so you didn’t bother to ask the shoppers in SM what happened?!

Come on… the day social media provides more objective information than journalism is the day you know how bad this publication is.
