Fire hits Manila mall

MANILA, Philippines — Fire broke out from a commercial establishment in Manila’s shopping district, a city fire officer said early Thursday.
Manila Fire telephone operator Roderl Romero said the fire at the sixth floor of 999 mall along Soler Street, corner Claro M. Recto started at 8:07 a.m.
The blaze reached second alarm before it was declared out at 9:50 a.m.
Information on injuries, cause of the fire and cost of damages are not available as of posting time.
