Suspected NPA rebels ransack homes of 3 soldiers in Misamis Oriental

MANILA, Philippines—Suspected communist rebels raided three residences in Misamis Oriental Tuesday morning and carted away military gears, the military said.

Lieutenant Colonel Eugenio Osias IV of the Army’s 4th Infantry Division said about 25 rebels believed to be members of the North Central Mindanao Regional Committee of the New People’s Army “simultaneously ransacked” the residences of Private First Class Benjamin Timbal of the 58th Infantry Battalion; retired Staff Sergeant Eliseo Salvacion; and retired Police Officer4 Ananias Requerme in Purok 4, Poblacion village in Kinoguitan, Misamis Oriental at about 6 a.m.

The rebels carted away military uniforms, combat boots and other military end items and immediately fled after the incident.

Pursuit operations are on progress, Osias said.

These scums are going from bad to worse. It’s as if extortion is not enough, they now add robbery and theft in their activities.

i agree with Mulen. The NPA which stands for new people’s army no longer true. the acronym now means new anti-people army or NAPA. These gang of bandits are just hard core criminals that victimizes soldiers not performing combat duty.

NPA is now irrelevant. Wala na silang ipinaglalaban. They are now just scavengers na walang direksyon sa buhay nila. The Philippines is a capitalist country and will always be. We want businesses to thrive, we want our children to succeed in their personal goals. China is now a capitalist country, oh paano na NPA?
