/ 08:52 PM January 20, 2013

A 38-year-old businesswoman lost before noon Sunday more than P5-million worth of cash and jewelry to thieves.

Melissa Makadaig, a resident of Scout Fuentebella Street in Barangay Sacred Heart, Quezon City went to the Kamuning police station to report the robbery.

Initial police reports showed that three armed men barged into Makadaig’s house at 11:30 a.m., taking by surprise Armel Hilario, a house boy who was by himself.

While one of the robbers held Hilario at gunpoint, his cohorts ransacked the house and took away P5-million worth of jewelry, P100,000 in cash and several cell phones worth P50,000. They then fled in a sport utility vehicle as Hilario called the police.
