Bohol contingent wins fireworks competition
The contingent from Bohol, Wow Fireworks, won the judges’ approval and was crowned “Sinulog Pyro King” in last night’s fireworks competition hosted by SM City Cebu.
Cebu’s Avila Fireworks placed second while the fireworks makers from Rizal, Sky Intensity, landed third.
Diamond Fireworks of Bulacan and JVZ of Laguna placed fourth and fifth.
Judging this year’s competition were artistic director Douglas Nierras, stage director Chris Millado, Josie Guillen of the Federation for Asian Cultural Promotion, Kadayawan Festival’s Corazon Agustin, and ballet Dancer and artistic director Annie Sartorio.
The event was capped by a fireworks display by Pyroworks International synchronized to the popular Korean rap, Gangnam Style. /Chief of Reporters Doris Bongcac
