Tryouts for U13 planned

TRYOUTS will be conducted for players who will comprise Cebu teams—Under 13 Boys, Under 11 Boys and Under 14 Girls who will be seeing action in the upcoming Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Festival of Football Visayas eliminations in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental scheduled tentatively next month.

Those eligible to tryout for the U13 to be coached by Dennis Penalosa and Jong Perez are those born 2000, for U11 to be coached by Totot Colina and Robert Nicart are those born 2002 while for the U14 to be coached by Apple Barinan and Melanie Bordalba are girls born in 1999.

The tryouts will be conducted on Jan. 21, 22 and 23 in two venues.

On Jan. 21, tryouts for the U13 will be conducted at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu in Mandaue starting at 2:30 p.m.

Also on Jan. 21, tryouts for the U11 will be held at the San Roque football field from 1 to 3 p.m. while the U14 will follow from 4 to 7 p.m.

On Jan. 22, tryouts for all three teams will be held in the afternoon at the San Roque football field. The venue and time for Jan. 23 will be announced on Jan. 22.

The PFF Festival of Football is part of the selection for the training pool of the national teams. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
