Lawyers, doctors to join Sinulog fest
LAWYERS from Manila dressed like characters in the sci-fi movies Star Wars and Terminator and 100 doctors and nurses wearing clothes worn in the 1930s and 1940s including the World War II years will join Sunday’s Sinulog Grand Parade.
Cebu City councilor Alvin Arcilla, said that the presence of the members of the Young Lawyers Association in Manila would be an added attraction to the grand parade.
About 100 doctors and nurses from the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center will also join in the grand parade as part of the hospital’s thanksgiving offering.
Aside from wearing 30s and 40s clothes, their props will include fancy airplane and tank props to commemorate VSMMC’s beginning in the 1930s and their theme of “ century of changing lives our passion, our purpose, our pride.
Jhun Yabot will choreograph the VSMMC performance and will also design their costumes and props while the hospital’s delivery room Nurse Jaye Marjorie Boco will be the VSMMC’s Sinulog Festival Queen.
