Metro Manila posted about half, or 137, of the reported 295 new registered cases of HIV in the country in October 2012, based on figures from the Department of Health. The new cases brought the total of reported HIV cases nationwide to 11,125 since 1984.—Schatzi Quodala, Inquirer Research
