Ex-inmate shot dead at home
Cebu Daily NewsA MAN previously jailed for theft was shot dead in his home in barangay Suba, Cebu City.
Police said revenge was the likely motive in the killing of Raymond Jesus Aro, 24.
Aro was released from jail on Dec. 1, Senior Insp. Errol Deyvera of the homicide section of the Cebu City police said.
Police said two unidentified men barged into Aro’s house in Belgium Street past 2 a.m. yesterday then proceeded to the victim’s room and shot him several times using .45 caliber pistols.
The victim, who was wounded in the back, was still able to get out of the house and sought help from neighbors.
The victim was brought to the Cebu City Medical Center where he later died.
The assailants fled after the attack.
Two empty shells and a slug of a .45 caliber pistol were recovered from the crime scene.
