Mall gives Christmas treats to street children

SM City Cebu gathered the street children under the care of the Cebu City Task Force on Streetchildren for a gift-giving activity at the Northwing Atrium.

Mall administration managers, officers and staff bought new toys and candies as Christmas presents for the street children.

A couple who saw the gift-giving activity at the Northwing Atrium gave P100 to each of the street children. Emily and Melvin Cambaya who now live in Australia, spent the holiday in Cebu City with their relatives.

“During this season of giving, it is just fitting to share our blessings to the less fortunate,” said Emily Cambaya.

The gift-giving activity was also attended by SM Prime Holdings vice president Marissa Fernan.

The children were then treated with free rides in SM Storyland and lunch at the Party Room.

SM City Consolacion mall administration gave grocery items and used clothing to Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The items will be turned over to the less fortunate residents of Consolacion, Cebu identified by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
