Fire in Marikina subdivision reaches 4th alarm

MANILA, Philippines—Fire gutted a residential area in Marikina on New Year’s Eve, a National Capital Region Bureau of Fire Protection officer said Monday.

Sergean Benny Balingit said the fire, which blazed through still unidentified number of houses at Monte Vista Subdivision along Barangay IBC compound in Marikina City started at 4:15 p.m.

The fire was placed under fourth alarm at 4:25 p.m.

No other information was available, but Balingit said no immediate reports of injuries have reached their office as of posting.
