ONLY two matches will be played today in the 15th Aboitiz Football Cup, which resumes at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

The Abellana National School (ANS) Pomeroy and the Mandaue Technical Institute (MTI) will open their bids in the Boys 17 category. Both are the remaining teams that have yet to see action in bracket C of the category.

The bracket is currently topped by Ateneo de Cebu-B with three points.

The remaining match will see the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R) hoping to clinch its second straight win in the tournament when it faces PhilSca in the Under 23 category.

The Jaguars are at current second place in this league-type category with three points while PhilSca is languishing at the fifth spot after losing its first match.

No matches will be held in the younger categories as the teams have already gone on their holiday breaks.  /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
