Did you know: Poet Jose de la Cruz
Today, Dec. 21, is the 266th birth anniversary of the late poet and playwright Jose de la Cruz, more popularly known as Huseng Sisiw. Born in 1746 in Tondo, Manila, some of his poems include “Awa sa Pag-Ibig” and “Sayang na Sayang.” His “Conde Rodrigo de Villas” is considered to be his best dramatic work.
