Truck runs over boy
Cebu Daily NewsA NINE-YEAR-OLD boy died after a 10-wheeler truck run him over in barangay Carreta, Cebu City.
Before the accident, the boy was seen playing with other children near the truck parked by the road past 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The driver of the truck, Jaime Lucero Jr, 23, said when he tried to move forward, he heard something from under the truck.
Lucero, worker of Ali Agri Exim Corp., later found the boy underneath the truck with head injuries, said SPO1 Borferio Lim Jr.
Lucero surrendered to the police after the accident.
The driver could be charged of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide, police said./Correspondent Tweeny M. Malinao
