MANILA, Philippines —- The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Friday announced that it had approved four more groups for the 2013 party-list elections.

Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. announced that the following groups had been approved:

1-Abilidad, Ating Guro, Sanlakas, and Awat-Mindanao.

Meanwhile, four other groups were barred from running in the elections next year.

Brillantes said that these groups were: 1-Kasambahay, Aasenso Barangay, Alay-Akay and Urban Poor Development Services.
