Crime group nabbed in Agusan del Norte

MANILA, Philippines – Government forces have apprehended members of a criminal group in Agusan del Norte.

In a statement Monday, Lieutenant Colonel Eugenio Osias IV said police and military forces arrested the group at Purok 5 in San Isidro in Santiago town Saturday.

The arrested persons believed to be members of a criminal group operating in the eastern part of Agusan del Norte were Kevin Badajos, Dennis Badajos, Rolly Samora, William Samora, Jerry Pitao and Remark Alburo, all of legal ages and residents of Poblacion 1.

The troops confiscated from the group two homemade shotguns with six live ammunitions, one caliber 357 revolver, one Caliber 38, one Caliber 45 and one mk2 hand-grenade.

They were immediately turned over and detained at Santiago Municipal Police Station.

    To the journalist or PDI management why not finance a research on how and why these criminal elements were heavily armed to the teeth in the first place? Who were behind these supplies and support to these lawless elements ?? Suspect of course is the military but must be done in an scrupulous manner to warrant a congress or senate investigation !!
