1st leg of Cebu Loves Triathlon C’ship opens
Cebu Daily NewsTHE 1st leg of the Cebu Loves Triathlon Team Championship Series gets underway today in San Remegio town, southern Cebu.
Up first will be the TriKids at 8 a.m. at the San Remegio Cultural Center & Leisure.
Some 30 kids will be seeing action in various age groups.
The kiddie triathlon will feature four age categories namely the 8-under, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-15.
The 1st leg of the Tri Series will follow at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Lapyahan Beach Resort with 150 triathletes seeing action.
There are 11 female vying for the individual event, five teams for the Tri Series and six teams for the relay series.
Race kits will be given out at 6 p.m. today to be followed by the race briefing at the San Remegio Cultural Center & Leisure.
Unlike the inaugural series, the second edition will now have four legs with the second leg to be hosted by Dauis, Bohol in December, third leg in February either in Dalaguete or Bayawan and the fourth and final leg at Bantayan Island on March. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
