Mayor Bentham triathlon slated Dec. 2 in NegOr

THE Municipality of Amlan in Negros Oriental hosts a triathlon event on Dec. 2 dubbed the 1st Mayor Bentham P. dela Cruz Triathlon.

The race will be have a national sprint and super sprint event. The national sprint will be a 750-meter swim, 30-kilometer bike and 7.5-k run race while the super sprint will be a 300m swim, 15k bike and 3k run event. There will also be a relay team event that will use a national sprint distance.

Cash prizes will be given to the top finishers in each category. The event is organized by the WS Triathlon Team in partnership with the municipality of Amlan, Negros Oriental.

The race is held in line with the celebration of the town’s annual fiesta on Nov. 30. The triathlon event also hopes to promote the tourism potential of the town.
