Hontiveros to speak in seminar
FORMER Akbayan partylist representative Risa Hontiveros will talk about her life and how she faced and overcame challenges under the topic “Learning and rising above adversity.”
She will be joined by television host Boy Abunda who will speak on “Cultivating the can-do mindset (Do you have what it takes?) and by lawyer Mary Ann Lucille Sering, the secretary of the Climate Change Commission who will talk on “Paying Forward: How we are meant to Live.”
Hontiveros was a journalist for 10 years before she entered politics.
The “Here for a purpose: A roadmap to a Successful and Excellent Life” seminar will be held on Nov. 16 at the Cebu City Sports Club from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
This activity is for the benefit of St. Theresa’s College Alumni Association (STAA) Scholarship Program and Cebu City Operation Second Chance Project.
