Laguna church bells to peal for Calungsod

SAN PABLO CITY, Philippines – Church bells in all parishes in the Diocese of San Pablo,  Laguna, and all other parishes in the province will ring on Sunday to “echo the joy of thanksgiving”  for the canonization of the Philippines’ second saint,  Pedro Calungsod.

San Pablo Bishop Leo M. Drona y texted all parish priests, pastors and religious organizations in the diocese and all parishes in Laguna, requesting them to ring their bells at 4 p.m. Sunday, the time of Pedro Calungsod’s raising to the altar at the Vatican.

According to the Catholic Directory, Laguna has 80 parishes  encompassing the 25 towns and five cities of the province.
