Man killed in Consolacion
Cebu Daily NewsA 33-YEAR-OLD man on crutches was shot dead by a still-unidentified assailant in barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion town, northern Cebu.
Police said no one came forward to give a witness accounts of the killing of Norsales Lumapas Jr., a resident of barangay Yati, Lilo-an town.
Police are still investigating possible motives for the violence.
Lumapas was shot several times in the body and died a few hours later at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City.
Police said the man had been walking on crutches after he was shot in the leg a few years ago.
Lumapas was walking along a roadto his aunt’s house at 2:30 a.m. yesterday when he was waylaid, said police.
The victim’s aunt, Evangeline Cartagina, told police she didn’t know that Lumapas was on the way to visit her.
She said she was surprised to learn of the attack.
