MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives has gone on recess for All Saints Day.
Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. upon announcing their adjournment said that the 15th Congress “would always be remembered for passing three national budgets in record time. That has never happened before.”
“Each time we made a home run,” he said.
Lawmakers will reconvene November 5. Belmonte said that they would tackle important bills such as those on Reproductive Health and Freedom of Information.
