WITH less than two weeks before the much anticipated Pinoy Pride XVII: Philippines vs the World WBO Bantamweight Championships, the featured ALA boxers are now busy not just in their training for the Oct. 20 fight but also in promoting the mega-boxing event to be held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Adding hype to the event will be the first public workout session of the Filipino boxers headed by main event protagonist AJ “Bazooka” Banal who will be gunning for his first ever world title against PungluangSorsingyu of Thailand. They will fight for the vacant WBO World Bantamweight title.

With Banal in the explosive card are fellow ALA pugs, Rey “Boom Boom” Bautista who will be facing Daniel Ruiz of Mexico for the WBO International Featherweight crown, Jason “El Nino” Pagara and Michael Domingo who will be taking on undefeated Miguel Antoine of Barbados and Muden Tambe Rabison of Uganda, respectively.

ALA Promotions will be giving out complimentary Pinoy Pride XVII SM Tickets to boxing fans and aficionados who will take part in the Pinoy Pride XVII trivia contest during today’s PP17 Public Workout Sessions at the SM City Mega Mall. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
