Baby left at parked truck in Liloan
A NEWBORN girl was found at the back of a Toyota pick-up truck in barangay Poblacion, Lilo-an town, northern Cebu.
Liloan police said they received report of the abandoned baby truck past 5 a.m.
The baby was found wrapped in cloth.
Police investigators said no one in the neighborhood saw who left the baby there.
The police took the infant to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) of Lilo-an.
SPO2 Ricardo Enriquez said the DSWD referred them to the Lilo-an Health Center so the newborn could undergo medical check up.
Dr. Marichris Mahinay of the Lilo-an Health Center who checked the baby said she was healthy and normal.
The doctor, however, had the baby placed under observation at the center.
