Bam Aquino wants cousin Kris to help in his Senate campaign

If administration senatorial candidate Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV had his way, he would like his first cousin Kris, youngest sister of President Benigno Aquino, to help out in his campaign.

“I hope [that she will help],” Aquino said when asked if he needed the actress to boost his chances of winning in the 2013 elections.

He was speaking to reporters before his proclamation as one of the administration’s senatorial candidates in Club Filipino in San Juan City on Thursday.

In a nationwide survey conducted by Pulse Asia from Feb. 26 to March 9, Kris placed 17th among potential winners in the 2013 senatorial elections.

Bam was nowhere near the Magic 12, but it was unclear whether he was included in the list of names the 1,200 respondents of the survey could choose from.

“We will need all the help that we can get from relatives, from friends … all those who became my classmates,” Bam said.
