Romblon mayor’s son allegedly commits suicide

MANILA, Philippines—A 16-year-old son of Romblon, Romblon Mayor Gerard Montojo was found dead in an alleged suicide, police said Friday.
The body of Pete Gerard Montojo was found under a bridge at the boundary of villages 3 and 4 in Romblon, Romblon around 6:20 p.m. Thursday, said Chief Superintendent Artemio Hicban, Mimaropa police Regional Director.
Montojo allegedly shot himself using a cal .40 pistol, Hicban said. Further investigation was being conducted.
