5.2 quake hits off Quezon

MANILA, Philippines—A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck off Quezon province at 11:47 a.m. on Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The quake centered at 74 kilometers northeast of Jomalig town at a shallow depth of six kilometers.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The Philippines sits on the Pacific “Ring of Fire” where continental plates collide causing frequent seismic and volcanic activity.
