MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang was mum on Thursday about an ouster move admitted by Senator Antonio Trillanes IV, an ally of President Benigno Aquino III.
“We have no comment on that. Sorry,” presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda said in a text message.
Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte also refused to comment on the issue.
In a separate text message to reporters, Lacierda said the Office of the President has nothing to do with the rumored change of leadership in the Senate.
