MANILA, Philippines — Classes at the University of Santo Tomas were suspended Tuesday following heavy rains the night before.

“Classes in all levels are suspended today, September 11. However, there is regular office work,” its official school paper the UST Varsitarian said on its Twitter account.

Hundreds of students were stranded at the university Monday night due to floods caused by heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the University of the East Manila and Caloocan have also suspended classes in their preschool, elementary and highschool levels as announced by President Ester Garcia.
