Govs cite Iglesia Ni Cristo on anniversary

The League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) composed of governors has cited the phenomenal growth nationally as well as globally of the Iglesia ni Cristo religious sect which is celebrating its 97th anniversary on July 27.

The INC has 5,000 churches, 717 of them outside the Philippines, with followers comprising 108 nationalities and ethnic origins.

“On behalf of my fellow governors, I would like to congratulate INC Executive Minister Brother Eduardo Manalo and its members for the phenomenal growth of this homegrown church that is now present in 89 countries and four territories worldwide,” said Oriental Mindoro Gov. and LPP president Alfonso Umali Jr.

The LPP also lauded Manalo for immediately reaching out to INC members to edify the church following the death of his father, Executive Minister Eraño Manalo, in August 2009.

Tignan mo tung mga politikong ito….pag ang relihiyon may (solid) block vote, nagkakandarapa sa pagbati. Tumawag pa22740 ng media para iparating…..

If you want to protect your religion in the heavens, you must protect your religious interest on earth. God is political too, so if INC will face God, he should tell God,” we voted solid just to protect Your congregation on earth, in the Philippines only”.

    • Anonymous

God is not a political figure and He is of no party. and no need of protection in heaven because there are no more evil person in heaven

the losing Governor of our province offered Iglesia ni Manalo 6 million, the winning Governor offered “double” of whatever offer iglesia receives. Politicians are quick to court block voters.

and please…  stop saying Manalo is the Mesiah from the far east. Manalo is only a filipino like you and me, nothing special.

Happy Anniversary! I pray that God call more people especially those who commented before me to be enlightened and join the Iglesia ni Cristo and worship the one True God! Thanks PDI!

I hope that the people here who posted malicious allegations against the Iglesia ni Cristo can also find time to listen to the Truth that the Iglesia ni Cristo offers. Peace be with you all.

Manalo is a false teacher…. more so an anti-Christ. pray to God that those in INK could be enlighten and go out.

Most of the times, Iglesia Ni Cristo can only be heard during elections in the Philippines. Right? Politicians are waiting for the political endorsements of Iglesia Ni Cristo since INC practices bloc-voting to their members. Expulsion from Iglesia Ni Cristo will be given to members if they will not follow or vote the politicians picked or anointed by the INC administration. You can be forgiven for being absent in church gatherings but not by transgressing the political decisions of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. For Iglesia Ni Cristo, they are the only lucky ones who will be saved. Most INC members are Filipinos.

    • Iglesia Ni Cristo is a strong political ally of Gloria Arroyo

    • INC members are normally not allowed to join rallies, however,
Most of the crowd in EDSA3 are INC members

    • Manalo Family (Felix, Eraño and Eduardo) are their past and present Executive Ministers

    • Filipinos are not proud of Iglesia Ni Cristo

    • There are some countries that INC is not allowed or not legally registered
(probably) because of the political nature of INC

    • INC Tried to stop the IMPEACHMENT of exOmbudsman Merceditas Guttierez

  • http://profiles.google.com/catholicdefender2000 Catholic Defender

Oh, that’s expected of politicians. Nagpapabango lang mga yan. But how many are the INC? Politicians are dumb, they have no clear proof if how many really are the INC members.

Politicians, during INC anniversary are outdoing each other for the attention of Manalo’s INC. Very ironically, those Catholic politicians idolize Manalo and his INC to high heavens even when the latter has accomplished nothing but to propagate its anti-Christ doctrine that Christ is not Divine.

This is a glaring manifestation of idolatry being committed by the supposedly believers in God Jesus who choose to give heaps of praises to Manalo instead of giving him his well deserved rebuke.

Hinay-hinay lang po… Nagagalit kayo sa kwentong kayo ang may gawa. Please be responsible.

Iglesia Ni Cristo is a political cult.
Iglesia Ni Cristo is an embarassment for the Filipinos.

*It is widely believed that Iglesia Ni Cristo endorsement is based on high-rating surveys of the candidates

March 20, 2011 • Iglesia Ni Cristo tried to support the impeachment of Ombudsman Gutierrez but failed.

July 22, 2010 • Iglesia Ni Cristo supported Manny Villar to Senate Presidency but failed.

May 15, 2010 • Quezon Gov. Rafael Nantes lost the election (INC vote was not enough)

May 5, 2010 • Ruffy Biazon was endorsed as Senator by INC, but lost in 2010 election

May 5, 2010 • Iglesia Ni Cristo endorsed Mar Roxas as Vice President (Mar Roxas eventually lost)

    support

May 10, 2007 • Michael Defensor, Ralph Recto, Vicente Sotto III was endorsed as Senators by INC, but lost in 2007 election

July 5, 2004 • ABS-CBN reporter Ramon Ilagan beat the INC-endorsed ex Cainta Mayor Nicanor Felix

2001 • INC members were part of the violent EDSA III. GMA was forced to declare State of Rebellion. Some INC members died.

1998 • Iglesia Ni Cristo supported Joseph Estrada (later to be convicted with corruption charges)

1992 • INC failed to help Danding Cojuangco to Presidency. Danding was only 3rd on the final tally of votes

The religious dynasty of Manalo family is the cornerstone of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. The position of executive minister was being held only by the Manalo clan; Felix Manalo > Erano Manalo > Eduardo Manalo

Only pigs love to wallow in mud.
Only dogs love to eat their vomits.
Only Iglesia Ni Cristo loves to intervene in Philippine politics.
Only the Manalo family can mix cultism and politics.

Only Satan will allow these kinds of atrocities of Iglesia Ni Cristo to continue.

Only Satan will be glad to see Iglesia Ni Cristo intervene in Philippine politics.

The heaven is a lonely place to be with Iglesia Ni Cristo by the Manalo family.

  • http://twitter.com/AndrewMBautista Andrew M. Bautista

By allowing Iglesia Ni Cristo news and updates to be published in newspapers and news web sites is also giving Iglesia Ni Cristo media exposure. This is the media exposure being used by INC to intervene in Philippine politics just like what they did in intervening in the selection process of Senate President in 2010 and the impeachment case of the former Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez.

Sometimes, I also blame the Philippine media for giving too much exposure for Iglesia Ni Cristo. The power to influence is being exploited by the Iglesia Ni Cristo for their personal gains just what like happened in EDSA 3.

Power in (overestimated) number. I can’t believe that some newspapers would even publish that Iglesia Ni Cristo members would reach 5, 6, 8-10 million. That’s insane. INC does not even have the nerve to reveal their official total number of membership. Iglesia Ni Cristo have a long line of FAILED political endorsements. Leading the list is the lost of Danding Cojuangco and INC in 1992 and the lost of Mar Roxas in 2010. I estimate that INC is less than 1-2 million basing the number of votes got by the Alagad party list. (Alagad representative Rodante Marcoleta is an INC member)

To Manila Bulletin, Inquirer, Abs-Cbnnews, GMANews, Philstar, Daily Tribune and other news outfits in the Philippines, please stop giving any further media exposure to Iglesia Ni Cristo.

The media exposures being enjoyed by the INC of the Manalo family are being exploited for political reasons.

Journalism should be above money and paid advertisements for Iglesia Ni Cristo.

Better welfare of the greater good should be above money and paid advertisements for Iglesia Ni Cristo.

Do our country a favor, stop patronizing Iglesia Ni Cristo.
