Dead man found inside abandoned taxi in Pasig City

MANILA, Philippines—A body of a man was found inside an abandoned passenger taxi in Pasig City early Thursday, police said.
Senior Police Officer 1 Joven Alconso of Pasig City police radio room said a still unidentified man was found inside the compartment of Blue Cab 21 taxi (UVN 474) abandoned on Luningning Street in Barangay (village) Rosario, Pasig City.
The information, Alconso said, reached their office around 6:30 a.m.
Radio reports said the body was found to have been wearing a light blue shirt and black pants.
A witness, meanwhile, said she saw the taxi parked in front of her store with its head lights on, but with no driver inside.
When they came to check the taxi, they saw blood stains inside, prompting them to call authorities.
Alconso said no other information was available, adding that responding investigators were still at the crime scene.
