Batanes Group of Islands remained under public storm signal number one.

Moderate to heavy rains were seen within 550km of Igme.

Small vessels and fishing boats were advised not to venture out into the northern and eastern seaboards off Luzon due to big waves generated by Igme.

Meanwhile, a new cyclone with international name Bolaven, already classified a typhoon even outside the Philippine territory, was seen 1,600 km east of extreme northern Luzon.

It may enter the country by Wednesday or Thursday. Once it does, it will be named Julian.
