Smoke gets in your eyes

By

DJ Mbenga (DM): Hello, Nyor Gamay! Long time no call.

Nyor Gamay (NG): Now, bukol.

DM: Hahaha. Cool gyud ka Nyor da.

NG: Unsay cool ba?

DM: Cool low coy.

NG: Ha? Kulokoy? Maldito naman ka DJ.

DM: Sige gud tag istorya, di, natakdan ko.

NG: Hahaha. Pastang sipata. Sipat pa man kang Nyor Daku.

DM: Buyag. Pero unsa may concern nimo rong adlawa? Unsa may issue sa luyo ning imong request?

NG: Manigarilyo ba ka, DJ?

DM: Niadto. Apan kay usahay mapagaw man gud ko.

NG: Kanang way filter.

DM: Ayay! Ikaw diay maldito. Nganong nihisgot man kag smoke, Nyor? Gimingaw ka nilang Cheech and Chong?

NG: Aw kun, gwapa gyud kaayo, nganong di man? Tingali may dalang glamor kining panigarilyo mao daghang babayeng batan-on manigarilyo.

“Smoke In The Water” sa Deep Purple?

NG: Ayaw ana DJ, nia baya ang The Platters rong Sabado.

DM: Nyor, you’re so 50s! O ania na ang “Smoke Gets in your Eyes,” uban sa panghinaut nga mominus na ang manigarilyo para minus nay manghilak ugma damlag kun takbuyan na silag sakit sa baga. Minus nya moingon og smoke gets in your eyes.

Smoke gets in your eyes

They asked me how I knew/My true love was true/Oh-oh-oh-oh, I, of course, replied/”Something here inside/Cannot be denied.”/(Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo)/(Doo-doo-doo, waaa.)

They said, “Someday you’ll find/All who love are blind/Oh-oh-oh-oh, when your heart’s on fire/You must realize/Smoke gets in your eyes.”/So I chaffed them/And I gaily laughed/To think they could doubt my love/Yet today, my love has flown away/I am without my love./(Without my love.)

Now, laughing friends deride/Tears I cannot hide/Oh-oh-oh-oh, so I smile and say/”When a lovely flame dies/Smoke gets in your eyes.”/(Smoke gets in your eyes)/(Smoke gets in your eyes)/Smoke gets in your eyes.
