Ex-cop found dead
Cebu Daily NewsAN 80-YEAR-OLD retired police colonel was found dead at home with a gunshot wound in his head in barangay Bulacao, Cebu City yesterday.
Police said it looked like a suicide as there were no signs of struggle that would suggest foul play in the death of Roldan Gonzalez.
Gonzales and his helper Josefina Mahinay were the only persons at home when the incident happened around 1 p.m. said homicide investigator Alex Dacua said
Gonzalez’s wife told polie the retired officer had been suffering from an ailment.
Mahinay told police she was in the kitchen when she heard a gunshot and later found Gonzales slumped in the living room with a gunshot wound in the temple. Police recovered a .38 caliber revolver./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
