Larrazabal, ABS-CBN team up to hold fund-raising race for Luzon flood victims

Running patron Dr. Potenciano “Yong” Larrazabal III teams up with television network ABS-CBN to stage the Kapamilya-ABS-CBN Night Race: I Ran My Part fund-raising night race on Aug. 25 starting at the Cebu Doctors’ University (CDU) campus at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.

 
The proceeds of the running event will be given to ABS-CBN to help victims of the floods in Luzon.

 
Larrazabal and the Run for Sight Foundation have already staged two fund -raising running events before in the Run for Guimaras and Run for Ondoy.

“We are so blessed here in Cebu because we are spared from floods. That’s why we are doing our best to help  victims in Luzon,” said Larrazabal, who will hand over the proceeds of the race to ABS-CBN news anchor Leo Lastimosa.

“ABS-CBN has a lot of clothing and food supplies already but they really need cash to purchase medicines,”added Larrazabal during yesterday’s official launching at the Run For Sight Foundation office inside the CDU Hospital. He was joined by his actress wife,  Donna Cruz-Larrazabal.

 
The running event will featuring three-kilometer and 6k distances. Registration fee is pegged at P300  inclusive of a race shirt and snacks after the race.  The top 10 finishers in each category will receive prizes in kind.

 
According to Larrazabal a lot of running groups have already committed to join this fund-raising running event.

 
Those interested to register visit can visit the Run For Sight Office at the CDU Hospital. The deadline will be at noon of Aug.  25.
