Pasigarbo fest in Mandaue today

Several roads in Mandaue City will be closed today to give way to the annual “Pasigarbo sa Sugbo” parade which starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 6 p.m.

The parade route starts at A. Del Rosario St. corner S.B. Cabahug St. and move towards Barangay Guizo and turn left to CD Seno St. to Cebu International Convention Center (CICC).

The assembly area of the contingents will be at P. Burgos St., C. Ouano St. and S.B. Cabahug St, said Erwin Ermac, operations chief of the Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (Team).

He said vehicles from Cebu City heading north may still use the M.C. Briones highway while others may use Ouano Avenue and A. Soriano Street in Mandaue reclamation area to Plaridel Street all the way to the north or Lapu-Lapu City.

Ermac said the Cansaga bridge is open to motorists to decongest M.C. Briones Street. He said Mayor Jonas Cortes asked the Capitol to open the bridge.

The provincial engineering office is working on a widening project of the other side of the bridge starting from Tayud, Consolacion which had the bridge closed for more than month.
