Office of Senator Angara closed Wednesday; Senate to hold sessionsBy Kate Evangelista
MANILA, Philippines—Senator Edgardo Angara called off work at his office on Wednesday due to the massive flooding brought about by the continuous heavy rains caused by the enhanced southwest monsoon.
“I’ve called off work at our office today. I hope everyone stays safe and vigilant. Let’s look out for each other,” Angara said on his official account on the micro-blogging site Twitter, @edangara.
Earlier, Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile, through Senate Secretary Emma Lirio Reyes, announced that they will still hold session on Wednesday amid inclement weather and massive flooding all over Metro Manila, a senate spokesman said.
