MANILA, Philippines—Rescuers have recovered a fifth victim from the rubble at a landslide site in Quezon City, which buried eight people Tuesday.
Radio reports have not yet determined whether the person last taken out of the landslide site in Barangay Commonwealth near Litex Road was still alive.
Other victims were being treated for injuries, the reports said.
Ryan Castaneda, commander of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s Quezon City Base, said that rescue efforts were still ongoing.
