MANILA, Philippines–The city government of Muntinlupa on Monday ordered the suspension of afternoon classes in public and private schools in all levels throughout the city.
Omar Acosta, public information chief of Muntinlupa, said the order was based on the local disaster risk reduction management council’s warning of a heavy downpour on Monday afternoon.
“It might happen in the next two to three hours. We don’t want our students to be inconvenienced,” he said.
