MANILA, Philippines – Former Senator Ramon Magsaysay Jr. will ‘reaffirm’ his membership with the Liberal Party (LP) in preparation for his senatorial bid  in 2013, he told Radyo Inquirer  990AM on Sunday.

Magsaysay said he has been an LP member even before martial law and all he needs to do is reaffirm his allegiance with the party.

“I’m still a Liberal Party member. Ang gusto nilang malinawan sa publiko yung  tinatawag ng partido  na reaffirmation. So I will be reaffirmed as a full-pledge member of the LP,” he told Radyo Inquirer 990AM.

But Magsaysay, who is reportedly planning to return  to the Senate,  could not  say yet  whether or not   he was already  included in the  official  senatorial ticket of the party.

“We have to wait for the President and the party. Hindi naman siguro magtatagal yan dahil they want to finish their line up…” he said.

For more reports, listen to Radyo  Inquirer 990AM.
