MANILA, Philippines—A policeman in Manila was rushed to the hospital after he was shot by still unidentified suspects reportedly on board a motorcycle Friday morning, police said.
Senior Police Officer 1 Pedro Ulada of Manila Police District’s traffic division identified the wounded policeman as Police Officer 2 Jesus Lapuz, assigned in the same department.
He said Lapuz was allegedly shot by riding-in-tandem suspects along the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City around 10 a.m.
Lapuz was rushed to San Juan de Dios Hospital.
Ulada said there was no information available on the status of the victim as of posting time, said Ulada.
