4.1-magnitude quake shook Abra early Thursday

MANILA, Philippines—A 4.1-magnitude earthquake shook Abra Thursday morning, state volcanologists said.

The earthquake, with a depth of 27 kilometers, hit four kilometres southwest of Lagangilang at 8:09 a.m., the Philippine Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.

It was felt at Intensity 4 in Bontoc, Mountain Province; Lagawe, Ifugao; Balbalan, Kalinga; Lagangilang, Bucloc and San Juan, Abra; and Intensity 3 in Baguio City and Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

No damage was recorded, Philvocs added.

Aftershocks were also not expected, it also said.
