Trike driver shot dead in Quezon City

MANILA, Philippines—A tricycle driver was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman as he was about to enter his house before midnight on Saturday, a police report said.

Police Officer 2 Roldan Pittong of the Quezon City Police District identified the victim as Marlon Credo, 34, of Lot 4, Block 2, Santan St., Maligaya Park Subidivision, Barangay Pasong Putik, Quezon City.

Pittong said the victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died on the spot.

The victim’s sister Cristina told police that she was roused from sleep by gunshots outside their house around 11:30 p.m.

She said that when she looked out she saw a man lying down. She went down to check on the man and discovered it was his brother.

She said she did not see any of the suspects.

Police said they were still clueless on the motive and that no witness to the crime had come forward.

The sister, police said, could also not provide any lead as to the motive of the killing.
