Muntinlupa cops hunt down Putatan killer

MANILA, Philippines – Police are now looking for the suspect who shot a man dead in Muntinlupa City on Thursday.

Southern Police District spokeswoman Chief Inspector Jenny Tecson said that Muntinlupa City police are hunting for Orestes Diaz alias Jaba, who shot Arman Cañete several times at the Marquez Compound in Putatan, Muntinlupa City, at around 11:30 a.m.

Cañete took four gunshot wounds to the chest,  and was rushed to the Medical  Center  Muntinlupa, where he was declared dead on arrival, said Tecson.

Inspector Tecson said an investigation is underway. She added that authorities have yet to establish the motive for Cañete’s brutal slaying.
