Fire hits military’s explosive division in Cebu

MANILA, Philippines – A fire razed two rooms and a canteen of the Explosive Ordnance Division at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Central Command (Centcom) in Cebu City Sunday night.

A report of the fire was received by the Cebu City Fire Marshall past 11p.m and it was immediately put out, said Centcom in a statement.

The estimated damages were estimated at P75, 000.

No casualty was reported but Centcom officials were investigating what caused the incident, it said.

AFP Centcom is one of the military’s wide support commands and it holds jurisdiction over the Visayas region.
