Government should be pro-farmer, says Senator Honasan

Manila, Philippines—Quoting the famous line from “The Gettysburg Address” by US President Abraham Lincoln, Senator Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan said the Philippine government’s treatment of farmers in relation to land reform should be “of the people, by the people and for the people.”
In an interview early Sunday on Radyo Inquirer, Honasan tackled land conversion, land use policy and the plight of farmers.
